Supporting our educators and schools is critical to District growth and effectiveness, which in turn, directly impacts our students.
The following avenues are available for teachers and administrators to request support for students or additional funding beyond the District’s budget:
-
Each year, up to $20,000 is available district-wide through this endowed grant fund. Eligible staff may apply for up to $2,500 to use toward relevant college coursework, certifications, conferences, or other approved professional development experiences. Open to ALL staff (certified, classified, from paras and bus drivers to teachers and administrators.)
-
The Foundation allocates $25,000 each year for teacher tuition expense reimbursement. Certified teachers have the opportunity to apply for and receive $250 towards class tuition for a college course one time each fiscal year. The goal is to enable teachers to interact with their peers, learn, grow and bring new ideas back to the District to share with others.
-
Each fall and spring, teachers and staff may apply for Classroom Grants for programs and activities that go beyond the school District’s budget. Requests must have a focus to enhance student learning by providing new and innovative educational experiences.
-
Provides teachers, staff and school club/organizations an avenue for funding requests that align with the Foundation’s mission but do not fall within the Classroom Grant timeline/criteria. Previous examples: Start up funds for HS art club, chess club, summer camp scholarships, Life Skills competition tshirts and awards, mobile STEAM carts, playground equipment, book vending machine.
-
The Foundation administers assistance for K-12 students whose basic needs are not met. Applications for expenditure of funds may be made ONLY by District principals and guidance counselors. If you notice a student is in need, please notify your school principal or guidance counselor.
