What do you love most about Bennington Public Schools?

Our district has some of the most talented and caring teachers and staff that create an amazing learning environment for our kids! My boys absolutely love their school and I know they are being challenged and supported at the same time. I’m so grateful for the teachers and staff who inspire them to explore and discover new things every day.

Where do you hope to see the Foundation in 5 years?

Looking ahead, I hope the foundation’s impact is significantly larger not only due to the expansion of the community but also the diversification of the offerings we provide. I am confident we will continue to respond to the needs of the students and families in our rapidly changing environment; I would also like to see the community sponsorship to the foundation and to our local schools continue to grow.

What is your favorite program the Foundation supports/why?

My favorite program is the classroom grants because this empowers the teachers and fills a unique need to enrich the standard classroom curriculum. Last year, my boys got to experience creating music with a beat sequencer, a technology that Pine Creek’s music teacher obtained through a classroom grant.

Family members?

Husband, Tom Miller, who is active in the community with coaching youth soccer and football and currently serves on the Bennington Youth Football board.

Two sons who attend Pine Creek Elementary School - William (4th Grade) and Wesley (2nd Grade)

One crazy Sheepadoodle (Chief) and 2 cats (Chef Bonkers and Gypsy)

Career/other organizations you are involved with?

I have worked at Conagra Brands for over 20 years with my role currently as Vice President, Global Business Services.

Volunteer at Heart Ministries and Foodbank for the Heartland

Anything else you would like to add?

I am incredibly excited to get started with this opportunity - to join my fellow new board members, learn from existing board members as well as the staff and students, and to help expand the Foundation in the years to come!
